“They put me to sleep before they started my c-section, and I just remember praying out loud for them to save our son.”

Bryce Harris came into the world at just 23 weeks. “When we went into the triage, I didn’t expect them to tell us we’d be delivering a baby that day,” said Amber Harris, Bryce’s mom. “We called our family and friends to be by our side as we didn’t think our day would have a happy ending.”

There was, however, a happy ending. Although he was diagnosed with on-going chronic lung disease, Bryce is now a happy 5-year-old who loves Power Rangers and rooting for the Cubs. “He’s got a great personality,” Amber said. “He loves to talk, smile and make sure everyone knows he is here for good and we better pay attention to him!”
