MIRACLE MONDAYS – Eliette Sgro

The story of Eliette Sgro

Eliette Sgro decided that she would enter this world just a little earlier than expected. “My water spontaneously broke at 32 weeks,” said Abby Sgro, Eliette Sgro’s Mom. “Eliette was breach and born via C-section. Everything happened so fast….we didn’t have time to think.”

Elliette was born on October 14th, 2018 and spent 22 days in the NICU. “It was hard seeing Eliette hooked up to all the machines,” Abby said. “The happiest moment was when we got to hold Eliette for the first time.”

Eliette’s stay did not come without some challenges. “It was hard but we just focused on every milestone Eliette reached. The most difficult part was not knowing how far medicine has come and that Eliette actually had a good prognosis.”

How is Eliette doing now? “She’s absolutely wonderful! She’s doing great and we couldn’t be happier with the caregivers at St. John’s. I just hope she is happy and knows how loved she is.”
